Today is the first day of the rest of your life...

This morning I transferred $1,000.00 to my Capital One 360 Checking Account. As soon as the transfer clears, in about 5 business days, I will be able to pay my mother back ALL of the money that she loaned me almost exactly 2 years ago, plus 10% interest.

One of my 2 Credit Cards I recently paid off, my Orchard Bank/Capital One Credit Card. The balance due on that account is ZERO. The account is now closed.

My 2nd Credit Card has a balance due of $289.45. My credit limit is $400.00.

I am having dinner tonight at Scott's Seafood in Folsom with a girl I met on "Match.com". Her name is Christine. We have been e-mailing each other since November 3rd (wow, it seems longer than 3 days). I am very hopeful. She seems genuine and her photos are lovely.

Yup, it's that day again...

Wow, I can say "again".

On this date, exactly 2 years ago, I took my last drink. An alcoholic beverage has not touched my lips ever since.

How very odd that everything in my life seems to be falling back into place with these last several posts.

The End

Today I made the very last payment on my "shame on you bad boy for not wearing your seatbelt" traffic ticket that was so generously awarded to me nearly 2 years ago. After late fees were tacked on (because I couldn't pay, because I was unemployed at the time) it was nearly $500.00.

Also today, I renewed my Driver's License for another 4 years. A new photo was taken too, one that I'm sure I will not look so bloated and hungover in.

Last Friday I saw my first paycheck with no Child Support at all deducted from it.

This is the end. The end of a vvveeerrryyy lllooonnnggg road.

Tomorrow starts a new beginning... :-)
