Independence Day

Today is July 4, 2013, "Independence Day".

...and it feels a lot more like "independence" to me. A LOT more like the old me. The me that was able stand on his own two feet and think, feel and live for himself.

I got paid early this morning, one day early due to the holiday. I have paid every single bill I have for the month of July, all but Verizon and one credit card have already cleared. Even after everything has cleared I will still have exactly $329.00 left in my Primary Checking Account, with another $21.00 in a separate Savings Account.

To put that all into perspective, exactly one month ago yesterday, on June 3rd, I had $5.09 to my name.

My available funds are growing exponentially month by month at this point.

Cases in point...

- I only have 5 more paychecks TOTAL that I will have any Child Support withdrawn from. The last check should, by my count, have only 2/3 of a payment withdrawn.

- I just paid nearly double my "Monthly Payment" for my Traffic Citation. I plan to be FINISHED paying in 2-3 months.

- I closed one of my two credit card accounts and am paying it down. My Credit Score has jumped 14 points just this month.

My breathing is getting deeper and more relaxed...
